Good afternoon folks and welcome to another Circuit Monday todays circuit is the water alarmComponents needed
1.
1k resistor
2. 100k resistor
3. 555 timer
4. 2.2nf capacitor
5. buzzer
6. jumper wires
Uses for this circuit
this circuit can be used to let you know when water reaches a
certain level e.g in a bath and many other uses.
Step one
place the 555 onto the board.
Step two
Connect pin 2 and pin 6 together with a jumper wire.
Step three
Connect the capacitors negative pin to pin 1 and the
positive pin to pin 2
Step four
connect pin 6 and 7 together using the 100k resistor (sorry
forgot to take a picture of this ) then connect pin 7 and an unused row with
the 1k resistor then connect a jumper wire to the end of the resistor.
Step five
Connect pin 3 to the - side of the buzzer and then connect
the + side to the positive rail .
Step six
Connect pin 8 to the positive rail then connect another
jumper wire the positive rail.
Step seven
connect a wire from pin 1 to the negative rail.
the circuit is
competed I use a small lid to test it as you can see from the video below I
had to change the to probe wires to longer ones they are now yellow instead
of red.
