The News #14

Good afternoon folks and welcome to this weeks news update where I talk about how my weeks gone and upcoming projects and other things.

this weeks news is rather short as I have been rather busy with a work things which is really effecting the time I get to spend on the blog this will be soon change as my work load changes but due to a very heavy work load over the next few weeks I will be making a few changes over this time so starting from Monday I won't be posting the normal post but I'll still be posting daily post I hope you understand this.

in other news 

I gotten some parts for upcoming projects that I have been planning I hope to share parts of the projects in the coming weeks some of this will be coding work for projects as well prototyping parts for them .

after this busy time I will be making a few changes I hope to have a video setup ready so that I can post videos on a regular basis if you have any suggestions please let me know

The first piece of news I would like to share is an update on my 3d printer build the machine is now built I'm just waiting for a free parts that where missing from the box  there will be an post on it very soon .

I haven't had much time for other project this week but I have had a bit of time to work on a circuit for Monday which I think will be useful for future projects.

The news #11

Good afternoon folks and welcome to this weeks news update where I talk about how my weeks gone and upcoming projects and other things.

This week has been a fairly busy week for me in a work sense I have been struggling with getting extra content up for a while now but I am still keeping up with the daily post which In hindsight was a big challenge for me but I am please to be able share things with you everyday.

Now on to the real news starting with the long awaited desoldering special I have been working on  the post will be up next Saturday I am just looking for any tips and tricks you guys have feel free to email them to be dobby@thedailydobby.co.uk

I have also been working on course to teach people how to solder which is coming along very nicely I will be sure to share all the details on here when its ready hopefully some of you maybe able to come

there will soon be a post about project planning which will cover the way I plan my projects which I am looking forward to sharing there are a number of projects I am working on at the moment which  will be shared with you through Project day post and mini build post  .

while on the mini build subject I am thinking of making these more regularly as of this post there is only one which you can see here  would you like that ?.

Are  there any projects you would like me to try  feel free to contact me and let me know what you would like to see.

Finally I am thinking about making changes to the schedule  such as dropping some post and replacing them with new ideas at the moment the post that I'm looking to change are the training Tuesday and toolbox Thursday post but I am not sure what I should replace them with at the moment  if you have any ideas let me know .

The News #10

Good afternoon folks and welcome to this weeks news update where I talk about how my weeks gone and upcoming projects and other things.

This weeks news update is just going to be very brief as I have been busy settling into my new job  but I do have a few bits to share with you

First up being a video that I posted on youtube of me building an fm mic kit you can check it you here 

the second piece of news I have to share is that I have gotten some of the lighting parts I have ordered for the shed which I will be showing you in an upcoming Project day (every Sunday at 17.00bst ) which I hope you will enjoy.

I will also be going ahead with the shed sound system very soon I am just sourcing some speakers for the project .

finally after a trip to the local scarpyard I have hopefully found a good item for a teardown so as long I get time to do the teardown I will have that up for you next week

Good afternoon folks and welcome to this weeks news update where I talk about how my weeks gone and upcoming projects and other things.

not much news this week by the time you read this I will out for a friends birthday

the first bit of news is you can now get to the this blog via www.thedailydobby.co.uk also on Facebook


this weekalso saw the first mini build I was quite pleased with it I have another one planned for next week so keep an eye out for that.

I have started planning a big arcade based project which I am thinking will have to be spread across a few weeks of project days but I'm sure it will be worth it I am very much looking forward to sharing it with you.

I also have ordered a radio kit which will be in a future project day it should be a fun also I am working on the car radio project which I am hoping to get done soon,

I am also working on some upgrades for the shed which I will be sharing with you soon one of which will be a new lighting system. I have plans to fit solar power to it as well which will be fun to do.

The research into a getting a 3d printer kit has been going well and I should be ordering it at the end of July with a view to build it for a post then have other post involving it  such as upgrades for it and making parts for other projects .

I am also hoping to get a few interviews from people in the tech and electronics world in the very near future I have a number of positive responses to the email I have sent .

The News #7

Good afternoon folks and welcome to this weeks news update where I talk about how my weeks gone and upcoming projects and other things.

this weeks has been pretty quiet so this is only going to be a short one

I have ordered an item to do a test teardown to see how it goes it should be up during the next week

I will have a video build video out tomorrow for tomorrows Project day so hopefully you will like that as I am very pleased with it how it has turned out.

I am now on pinterest which seems like a really good site I plan to share  every project day on there as well as few other little ideas I have.

How would you feel about a midweek build post ? it would be something like a one of those diy circuit kit or another quick item that doesn't need a lot of pre planning

In other news I now have a new job that may have to change the schedule at bit to make it work but I will try my best to keep up the daily post

The news #6

Good afternoon folks and welcome to this weeks news update where I talk about how my weeks gone and upcoming projects and other things.

this week the blog has gotten a lot of views with the project day and the toolbox Thursday post getting over 500 views each which has really made my week so thank you for that.

this week I have been working on a few different things the first id like to talk about is a designing a pcb for the water alarm circuit from this weeks circuit Monday I have been using Fritzing to do the designing and I am very close to having it ready to make . 

the next project I would like to update you on is a the bench power supply which will be on here very soon I have been working on a way to add more voltages to the power supply and now I am happy to say I have found a solution that I am happy with so I can now move on with that project.

the car radio sound system and the pi music box projects have been mothballed for the time being as I just can seem to find the motivation to work on them but I will try and get them back on track soon.

I have also been thinking about adding a tear down post to the blog probably on a bi-weekly basis but I would like to here your opinions on me doing this . I do have a few other ideas of content I would like to add to the blog . 

In other news this week here in the UK we had election which really didn't change anything leaving the country in a big mess heading into important brexit talks which is very bad for the country as a whole. also this week I have continued to look for a better job which has been an ongoing struggle for months but I am hopeful that something will turn up soon. 

Lastly I would like to talk about the Saturday special post I was very pleased with the response I got to it and I am working a more at the moment the next one being about desoldering tools which I am very excited to share with you I am also planning to do a fallow up to this weeks training Tuesday post on pcb etching which will cover me making a board from start to finish.
